What brought you to SPENGA?Transformation posts (Instagram Post (Square)) (1)


 
I found SPENGA driving by then looking it up online to see what it was all about. I was very intrigued by the combination of spin, strength and yoga, and was hooked after my first session! The instructors, other members and I have become fast friends, and make they perfect community to be a part of my fitness journey. 


 
What has your fitness journey looked like?

 

I started out my fitness journey back in February, knowing I was out of shape and needed to take control of my health. I have been so inspired and encouraged by everyone in my SPENGA family, and that makes all the difference! In 6 months, I've gotten stronger, built more muscle, I'm more flexible, I've lost 17 lbs, and I just feel great. 


What motivates you and what are your goals?

 

Honestly the people are what motivates me. While I've seen such great results physically and mentally, it's the camaraderie and positive energy that comes just from stepping into the studio first thing in the morning. Without the instructors, front desk crew, and other members, I would be way less motivated. My goals are to get into great shape, while still enjoying and living my life. I want to prioritize my health, but not obsess over fitness in a way that consumes my life. In the wise words of my dad, "everything in moderation". 


 
What words of encouragement would you give to someone just starting out?

 

Just take that next step. Whether you have 5 lbs to lose, 100 lbs to lose, or don't need to lose weight at all, but want to get into shape and just get stronger, don't be overwhelmed. Just take that first step, and the discipline will follow one day at a time.
