What brought you to SPENGA? What's your favorite part? IMG_6780


I am a "class" person was looking for something closer to my house.  When I tried it, I knew it was different from what I had previously done, I loved it immediately and knew that Rhett would like it. We both like the variety but what has helped us the most is the yoga.  At out age, the stretching after the workout is really important!


 
What has your fitness journey looked like?

 

We are both very active, Rhett with more sports activities like tennis. I moved from boot camps to cross fit back to boot camps but at my age felt I needed something that would allow me to not be quite as aggressive as my previous gym classes.


 
What keeps you motivated? What are your goals?


 I love to workout. Rhett's goal originally was increased fitness for tennis (it helped)!  I really just like to keep a balanced lifestyle! 


 
What words of encouragement would you give to someone just starting out?  


Just show up, no matter your fitness level or what you have ever done before, you can scale everything to suit your personal ability/goals.  It is important to me that the instructors encourage but don't "force" you to use weights that are too heavy, it's ok to do what you are comfortable with!
